Virtual Meetup – Federico Ciccozzi

In this talk, we will give an overview on motivations, goals and results in the ITEA3 BUMBLE project, which aims at providing innovative system and software development methods and solutions based on blended modelling notations and languages. The core idea is to provide automatic generation and management of fully-fledged blended modelling environments from arbitrary DSMLs. Blended modelling environments are expected to greatly boost the development of complex multi-domain systems by enabling seamless textual and graphical collaborative modelling.

Federico Ciccozzi received a M.Sc. in Global Software Engineering within the Global Software Engineering European Master program, a joint double-degree master program between the Mälardalen University (Sweden) and University of L’Aquila (Italy). He received a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Mälardalen University in January 2014. He was appointed Associate Professor in Computer Science in October 2017. He is the Head of Research Education in Computer Science and in Electronics at Mälardalen University. He currently acts as the scientific coordinator for the ITEA3 BUMBLE project (, a consortium of 22 partners (17 companies), about blended modelling.
